Why: While Shokera lack motivation for most activities, they are eager ornament makers and indeed produced more decorative barrettes for RAINBOW than could be reasonably included in the project. Normally employed to hold down the many tufts of hair that cover a Shokera's body, the makers were excited to realize that human beings exhibit a similar love for hair dressing (for while they spy on people constantly, that minor conceptual jump had never before been of enough interest to them to make).

Details: Any barrettes involving steel pins should be handled carefully so they don't break free from the glue and fall out.
